Now, brace yourself as Kantara 2 is unveiled with its intriguing first look, titled Kantara Legend Chapter 1, which offers a fascinating glimpse into the origins of the legend that inspired Kantara.
Unveiling the puzzle
The early look at Kantara Legend: Chapter 1 is shrouded in mystery and darkness, featuring Rishabh Shetty in the center of a circle, his gaze fixed on a supernatural light. The video begins with the iconic roar, reminiscent of the first film, setting the stage for an intense experience. The narrator’s voice cuts through the darkness and says, “Light. Everyone can see everything in the light. But it’s not light, it’s vision. The vision of what has been, what is happening, and what is to come – the light that reveals all. Can you see it?”

This story takes us to the era of the Kadamba Dynasty, the royal rulers of Karnataka. An attractive figure emerges, wearing Rudraksh, drenched in blood, with flowing matted hair and a trident in his hand. As he raises his head and shows a face full of determination, the story begins to unfold.
The first glimpse created a wave of excitement among the fans and praises started pouring in. A fan said, “Confirmed…this film will mark Indian cinema on the global stage,” while another said, “It’s not just a teaser; it’s not just a teaser.” It’s hair-raising.”
Interestingly, the video ends with seven different ragas, each representing the seven languages in which Kantara Chapter 1 is set to enthrall the audience.
In a previous interview, Rishabh had clearly hinted at the progress of the sequel, saying, “Writing and pre-production is in full swing. We plan to start shooting this year and release next year. We don’t spill the beans ahead of time. Official announcement with proper mahurat ceremony is our style.

According to trade website Sacknilk, its predecessor Kantara made its mark on the cinematic scene by collecting a stellar collection of Rs 363.82 crore in India and Rs 407.82 crore worldwide. Made with a reported budget of Rs 16 crore, this cinematic marvel left a lasting impression.
